Kim Mitchell is a proud Los Angeles native and a graduate of Stanford University with a bachelor's degree in English. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Film Directing and a Master of Education from UCLA. Kim's film projects garnered awards including a Motion Picture Association of America Award and the Lynn Weston Fellowship in Film.
An educator for fourteen years, Kim currently thinks of herself as a renaissance woman. She travels and speaks internationally, sings, and teaches at UCLA for the Teacher Education Program. In the past year Kim has had the honor of singing for Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Quincy Jones, and has sung with John Legend and the choir for the CNN Heroes special that was filmed at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. Kim is proud to report that she has now worked both behind the scenes calling cameras and onstage as talent at the Kodak. Recently, Kim shot a national commercial for Domino's Pizza in which she sings a single note with other choir members.
An avid traveler since the age of seven, Miss Mitchell
has visited many countries including England where she studied drama
and Shakespearian literature at Oxford University. Other travels
include France, Italy, Spain, Corsica, Malta, China, Norway, Sweden, Denmark,
Belgium, Cuba and Germany.
